Designed for commanding performance on trails and gravel roads. These pedals are simultaneously lighter and thinner than other XC pedals with an exceptionally low stack height, while also having more platform area for control and power transfer. An open center between the cages means increased mud shedding compared to other SPD-compatible pedals.
Maximum Shoe Contact
The large platform area maximizes pedal and shoe contact. This creates unprecedented control and power transfer for XC pedals. With many SPD-compatible XC pedals, the only point of contact between the shoe and pedal is the cleat and cage, where it can feel like pedaling on a golf ball. With ALT XC Clipless Pedals, the shoe contacts the pedal body for enhanced performance on gravel and trails alike.
Best In Class
ALT XC Clipless Pedals are lighter, feature more platform area, and have a thinner pedal body than the competition for maximum control, power transfer, and ground clearance.
Stainless Durability
These pedals will outlast your bike. The SPD-compatible stainless steel binding assemblies and axles create strong, rust-free pedals that are ready to ride hard on the nastiest dirt on the map.
Crisp SPD Clipping
Clipping in and out needs to be simple, quick, and reliable. The ALT XC Clipless Pedals feature an SPD-compatible stainless steel binding that will work with your existing SPD cleats. They are optimized for the Wolf Tooth cleats that are included in the box. We improved the clipping experience so you can swiftly clip in at the start of the race, stay clipped in when it matters most, and unclip as quickly as needed.
Adjustable Q Factor
Adjusting the Q factor (pedal stance width) moves the pedal toward or away from the center of the bike. ALT XC Clipless Pedals feature patent-pending Q factor adjustment options of 51, 55, and 59mm to fine-tune your fit, and ship set at 55mm. Adjusting Q factor is simple enough to do at home.
Ground Clearance and Mud Shedding
We designed ALT XC Clipless Pedals with a thin profile and open center. A thin profile means a reduced chance of pedal strikes when cornering or riding over rocks and roots. The open center quickly sheds mud that can interfere with clipping in and out to ensure that your clips and unclips are quick and reliable.
Reliable Construction
ALT XC Clipless Pedals feature machined components from Wolf Tooth HQ here in Minnesota, USA. The internal components use the same proven design from our popular Waveform Aluminum Pedals, including a machined stainless steel axle, three low-friction cartridge bearings, and one igus bushing with a custom radial seal that protects internal components from trail debris. Simply put: these pedals will perform in any/all conditions.

Wolf Tooth Ripsaw Aluminum Pedals feature a slim, lightweight design with a slight convex profile. The large, asymmetric machined aluminum platform provides strong foot support for all-mountain riding, while the thin convex profile is just 7mm thick at the leading edge. Inside the pedal are three fully sealed cartridge bearings, a stainless steel axle, a igus bushing, and a custom radial seal to protect internal components against trail debris.
Slim Convex Profile
Ripsaw pedals are 12.5mm thick in the center and just 7mm thick in the front and rear edges. This profile is supportive and comfortable for all riders, while performing exceptionally well for riders who prefer pedaling with a mid-foot position or for shoes that do not have much structure or support.
Extra Grip
Each side of the pedal has 12 stainless steel rear-loading 4.5mm pins for loads of traction. An additional six 4.5mm pins ship with the pedal. Shorter 3mm pins are available as replacement parts to customize the convexity of the pedal; by installing shorter pins on the edges, the convex profile is emphasized.
Formed with Purpose
The slight convex profile of the pedal body is tallest at the pedal spindle. The shape then tapers toward each edge from there. This profile aligns perfectly with the arch of your foot and provides a strong platform for power transfer.
Reliable Performance
Three low-friction, fully sealed cartridge bearings and one igus bushing with a custom radial seal protect internal components against trail debris for riding in all conditions.
Precision Machining
Each Ripsaw Aluminum Pedal body begins as a billet of raw aluminum. After 37 minutes in our CNC mills, the result is a beautifully crafted pedal body that is ready for anodizing and assembly. If you’re a nerd for machining, you’ll appreciate the intricate gradients and machine paths.

Waveform Pedals are designed for all-mountain riding, from XC to downhill. Available in two different sizes, proportionally scaled to provide a supportive platform that's shaped to match the footprint of your shoe. They have a slim, dual-concave profile that is 14mm thick at the perimeter and just 12.5mm thick in the center, cradling your foot for optimal pedal feel. Each side of the pedal has 11 stainless steel rear-loading pins for loads of traction. The design also features a large, tapered leading edge to deflect pedal strikes on rough terrain. A custom radial seal protects three fully sealed cartridge bearings for low-friction riding in all conditions.
